Students as part of the LHS Italian Exchange program had the privilege of visiting The Royal Palace of Caserta (Italian: Reggia di Caserta). It is a former royal residence in the city of Caserta that was constructed for the Bourbon kings of Naples. It was the largest palace (with over 1200 rooms) and one of the largest buildings constructed in Europe during the 18th century. In 1997, it had the distinction of being designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
