Good Afternoon Everyone,

The adventure continues! Yesterday, Wednesday, April 15th, our journey started at 7:00 a.m., at the institute Alfonso X El Sabio. We headed to Granada, which is located in the south of Spain, approximately 4 hours from Murcia. When we arrived, we were greeted by our tour guide and then joined hundreds of tourists as we ventured into the palace and palace grounds. Granada is the home of the most famous palace in Spain, The Alhambra, a palace that was also used as a fortress dating back to 889. It was then rebuilt by the Muslims after they had invaded Spain. The Alhambra covers 1,530,000 square feet, and our children were so amazed how well the architecture was preserved, the complexity of the designs, and the immensity of the palace and its many, many gardens.  We visited the palace from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. then the bus brought us to the center of the city where the students walked around, browsing through the open markets and small shops. We left Granada at 5:30 p.m. and returned back to Murcia at 9:30 p.m. Our children are having such a great time, and Elba and I are so happy that they are enjoying their stay, the food, and the culture.
