Good Morning,
Sorry for the delay, experiencing technical difficulties. Internet has been very weak these past few days.
The students continue enriching their knowledge of this exquisite culture of Murcia! Thursday, April 16th, our journey started at 8:20 a.m., at the Institute Alfonso X El Sabio. We headed to a tour of the city of Murcia, where we are presently staying. When we arrived, we were greeted by our tour guide, and she provided us with a lot of details, both inside and out of the cathedral, which has elements of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architecture. Each part had its own unique embodiment. The students had the opportunity to learn more information about Murcia by completing a scavenger hunt where they stopped people to ask them questions of the culture.
We then continued with the visit to the Real Casino de Murcia in which decorative elements were of Classical and Modernist art movements. When the tour was completed our students had free time to shop and walk around the town. At 2:45pm we were all back to the Institute, where they were reunited with their partners. Friday, we will be heading to Alicante at 8:30am.
