A few pictures of the picturesque center of Butzbach, our sister community in Germany. In the western reaches of Germany in Hesse, close to the major cities of Cologne and Frankfurt, this entire region is known for its amazing architecture and thriving economy and industry. In the pictures below, the market square of Butzbach is shown, including Fachwerkhaueser (a style of architecture known as a half-timbered house, which is both structurally strong as well as aesthetically appealing with its cross timbers and plastered walls).
